He believes every story worth telling requires at least one scene that makes you sit back and go "holy crap." 

All proceeds from books sales go toward his lifelong dream of construction a full-scale Argonath (those big statues in Fellowship of the Ring on either side of the river) in his hometown, which local zoning boards have described as "ambitious" and "please stop calling us."
